drinks although only one serving per day may increase the risk of weight gain
over time.
Weight gain can

average of one can of sweetened beverages per day had a 20 percent higher risk
of heart attack than men who rarely ate sugary drinks.

risk of pancreatic cancer

in 2010 by the University of Minnesota found that drinking sugary drinks like
soda at least twice a week can increase the risk of pancreatic cancer by

out for the past 22 years to 80,000 women found that women who ate just one can
of sweetened beverages per day had a 75 percent higher risk for uric acid, than
women who rarely drank sugary beverages.
According to a
study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, the risk
may be increased with the intake of sugary drinks.
